GARD stands for Gujarat Association of Resident Doctors

GARD is on strike from 23/07/09 in order to xpress the dire and pitiable conditions in which the doctors of gujarat are compelled to work in. Starting with the negligible amount of stipend paid to the doctors as compared to our counterparts in rest of the country. The state which claims of being rich and progressing is paying the doctors of the state the stipend which is less than even class IV workers of the state. besides these the living conditions are also below par as the accomodation and sanitary facilities are compromised with no attention being being paid to the health and security of the health providors of the state.
